Our Youth Ministry encourages
students to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We seek to involve
Christian students in activities that challenge mind, spirit and body.
Bible studies, small group fellowships, summer camps, spiritual retreats,
mission trips and a monthly evangelistic outreach called Day Four make
that possible. |

The vision of the music ministry is to
give our best heartfelt worship individually and as a community of believers.
We seek to promote and practice servanthood in worship rather than an
attitude of personal achievement. We seek to lead worshippers into the
presence of God and prepare their hearts for the spoken Word.
Currently, we offer the following opportunities for
you and your family in our music ministry:
- Adult Choir
- SPAM (Student Performing Arts Ministry)
- Kingdom Kids (Grades 1-6)
- Cherub Singers (Preschool-Kindergarten)
- Ensembles (Instrumental and Vocal)

We believe that children want
to know Christ and grow in discipleship and that helping our children explore
their faith is one of the church’s most important jobs. Our goals
are to provide opportunities for children to fully participate in the life
of our congregation and to support parents in their efforts to raise their
children to know Christ. |

Seniors are important to us at Independence
Hill Baptist Church. They are involved at every level of church life. Each
Sunday morning our most senior men meet as the C. P. Kelley Sunday School
Class. Our most senior women meet as the Nancy J. Davis Sunday School Class.
The Sunshine Class consists of “younger” seniors and includes
men and women. Our J.O.Y. Group (“Just
Older Youth”) takes an excursion every month. They travel to recreational
and historic sites throughout the area in the comfortable and safe church
vans. These trips are usually for the day and occasionally overnight.
From time to time, we enjoy special banquets and other activities for
seniors.

From September through May we make Wednesday
night activities a priority in the life of our church. Currently, we begin
at 5:30pm with a fellowship meal provided by our church hostess ($3.50
adults, $2.00 ages 6-11, $1.50 ages 2-5, free for children under 2). Food
is served until 6:30pm.
At 6:30, our programs for all ages begin. The children
have age-appropriate Bible studies. The youth enjoy a variety of activities,
plus a monthly evangelistic event called Day Four. Adult Bible Study and Adult Choir also meets during this time.
As with all church functions, excellent nursery care
is provided. All Wednesday night activities end at 7:30pm so families
can be back in their homes by 8:00pm.
