The primary mission of Independence Hill Weekday Preschool is to provide a developmentally appropriate environment in which we can share with young children and their families the love of God through Jesus Christ, and to nurture in the young child a love for learning, and a positive attitude toward themselves and others. We emphasize total development of young children mentally, spiritually, socially, physically, and emotionally through a wonderful mix of developmentally appropriate curriculum. Our school program includes the following areas: art, music, singing, storytelling, Bible verses and Bible stories, role playing and drama, language, math, science experiences, movement activities, field trips (four year olds) and outdoor play.

The Weekday Preschool, which began in 1980 as a Mother's Morning Out, has a current enrollment of 85 children, 14 teachers, a Curriculum Coordinator and a Director. We have classes for children aged 2 through 4. Our school year is September through May, with classroom hours from 9:00am till 1:00pm. We follow the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school calendar for holidays.
