OUR RE-GATHERING PLANS

Please read to the end to be familiar with plans

related to our incremental re-gathering Phases

In this season, we are relying on YOU (our people)

to advocate for and protect the whole of our church

God has gifted each of us with His wisdom and skills necessary for this task

Doing so, will require that we set aside some of our own individual needs

for the good of the Body of Christ here at IHBC

We recognize that as we begin to take steps toward

GATHERING IN PERSON some of our new habits might seem awkward

That’s OK

Let’s plan to embrace the awkward

and demonstrate the love of God towards one another

We encourage all of us to BE SOCIAL

and MAKE GOOD RELATIONAL CONNECTIONS

while giving each other physical space

For some of you, this could be a season where you

consider opening your home for a small group, from our church,

can gather as a Home Church

Acts 2 describes the early church like this:

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.”

As excited as some of us will be to see you,

we will exercise physical restraint in the way we interact with you

out of genuine love for you and others

Because we are a diverse group of people, with diverse concerns,

health-issues as well as diverse perspectives we kindly ask

that we refrain from hugs, handshakes and other physical touch methods of greeting

All the cool kids wear face masks as a part of their Church Clothes

As the church, we want to make sure

that we are doing all we can to ensure your safety

as well as the safety of all of our neighbors

That’s all part of loving our neighbors well

This is bigger than just thinking about us (and our church)

It’s one thing to put our own lives on the line to attend church in person

We also don’t want to be a stumbling block to our neighbors

Our staff is working on making it possible for us

to LIVE STREAM our services from now on

PHASE ONE

(May 10 – May 31)

This will be 1 Worship Service starting at 11:00am

We are hosting worship gatherings outside on-site and over Facebook Live

We will have the Offering Box set up outside

and watch the service on Facebook

Only 2 bathrooms (in the hallway of the office entrance) will be accessible

SUNDAY SCHOOL DETAIL OPTIONS

Sunday School Teachers will be working with their class

and Pastor Chris to adjust their Zoom Class times

to accommodate the Phase 2 in-person worship services

If a class is interested in hosting their class time in person on campus

(inside our outside) they will need to work out the logistics with Pastor Chris and Carol

There will not be classes for Children yet

Rebekah is working on a plan for a wildly popular

virtual VBS starting the week of August 2

Instead of passing the Offering Plates,

we encourage you to give in the following ways:

Mail your offering into the church office

Physically drop your offering off at the church office

Use your bank’s free Bill-Pay option to schedule your offering

Use our online giving method on our church website

to wash your hands and any bathroom equipment you’ve touched

Our water fountains will be closed in this Phase

DISCLAIMER

We will hold these dates LOOSELY, depending on lots of factors

including recommendations from our county/state leaders

"No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful!

But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living

for those who are trained in this way"

(Hebrews 12:11)
