STILL FOCUSED ON THE MISSION
WHAT TIME WILL IN-PERSON SUNDAY SERVICES BE HELD?
Please join us for services beginning at 8:30 or 10:00am in the Worship Center.
All other buildings on campus and all playgrounds will remain closed.
Please sit together as a family.
Worship Activity Bags will be available for our preschoolers and elementary kids.
Please limit 2 persons in restrooms. If you enter the restroom and see 2 people people inside, please wait outside.
For spiritual decisions (trusting Jesus, Salvation, Baptism, Counseling and Prayer Needs) please contact our pastoral staff, as they would love to speak to you.
WILL WE CONTINUE TO LIVE-STREAM THE WORSHIP SERVICE?
Yes, to serve our vulnerable members and anyone uncomfortable gathering in a large group, we plan to livestream our services. Watch us live on our church Facebook page.
WHAT ARE WE ACTIVELY DOING TO MINIMIZE THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 ON SURFACES AROUND THE CHURCH?
The entrance and exit doors will be open and touch-free.
Hand sanitizer stations will be in the Worship Center Foyer and the Connect Center.
We will be suspending our refreshment service.
We will not be celebrating the Lord’s Supper during the initial re-opening phase but are working through options for beginning this soon.
We will not pass trays to receive the offering. There will be a lockbox at the rear of the Worship Center for those who wish to give there. You may also mail or drop off your offering to the IHBC office.
Water fountains will be unavailable. Please bring your own water with you.
Chairs and surfaces will be properly cleaned and sanitized after each service.
HOW WILL WE MAINTAIN SOCIAL/PHYSICAL DISTANCE WHILE AT CHURCH?
Chairs will be spaced at recommended social distancing guidelines.
Please let us know your plan to attend by registering at this link. We are limiting attendance numbers at each service.
We ask that you always maintain 6 feet of social distance between groups.
DOES THAT MEAN WILL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO "FELLOWSHIP" WHILE AT CHURCH?
If you feel comfortable fellowshipping with one another, please wait until you are outside before you begin.
Please greet one another with kind words versus handshakes or hugs.
DO WE NEED TO WEAR FACE-MASKS?
In order to serve our vulnerable population and allow for the most members and guests to attend each Sunday, we ask that you please wear a mask. This request follows the spirit of the N.C. governor’s executive order, but even more importantly allows those most at-risk to still attend safely. If you don’t have a mask, we will have a few available at our welcome desk.
Parents may decide whether or not their young children should wear face masks while in our church building.
We understand if you are unable to wear a face mask due to any medical or behavioral condition, disability, or if you are communicating with someone who is hearing-impaired in a way that requires the mouth to be visible.
Please note that the singing portion of our service is the most important time to wear a face mask.
Should I attend the service if I am in an at-risk population?
If you are elderly, immunocompromised, or have an underlying health condition we encourage you to participate by joining our livestream on the IHBC Group Facebook page.
WILL CHILDREN'S MINISTRY (SUNDAY SCHOOL, ETC) BE PROVIDED?
There will be no nursery, preschool worship, or children's worship during this initial stage of resuming in-person services.
Are my children permitted to attend the service?
Children are welcome to attend the service and sit with their parents. Please keep your children with you at all times.
WILL THE FAMILY ROOM, IN THE FOYER OF THE WORSHIP CENTER, BE AVAILABLE FOR NURSING MOMS?
The Family Room located in the Worship Center foyer will be available for you to feed your infant or change their diaper.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I GET SICK?
If you are experiencing any respiratory symptoms or are running a fever near or above 100 degrees, please stay at home.
What should I do if I become sick after attending a church service?
If at any time you develop COVID-19 symptoms and/or test positive and have recently attended a church service, please contact the church office as soon as possible (email@example.com or 704-596-2124).
HOW WILL YOU NOTIFY OTHERS IF SOMEONE FROM OUR CHURCH TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19?
We will contact local health officials, per guidelines, and will assist in communicating with congregants about potential exposure while maintaining confidentiality. We may also ask you to identify those with whom you may have had “close” contact while there and request that you notify them or give your permission to the church office to do so on your behalf.
What should I do if I attended a service with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
If you did not have close contact with that person, self-monitor for symptoms, and get tested for COVID-19 if symptoms develop.
What should I do if I have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
Consider staying at home and self-monitoring for symptoms and get tested for COVID-19 if symptoms develop.
When can I return to a church service after I have symptoms, or test positive, for COVID-19?
You should not return until you have met the CDC criteria to discontinue home isolation.
